The glycerine market has been through a long tunnel of low prices throughout 2016. 2017 is starting on a different tune, with refined glycerine prices in Europe and in China (representing together about 40% of the global consumption of refined glycerine) on the increase. Are these gains sustainable? To answer this question and propose a scenario for the coming two years, Oleoline has decided to organize a glycerine conference on the 10th and 11th April 2017 in Paris. HBI, the owners of Oleoline organized three Global Glycerine Conferences in the past 20 years, the last of which attracted nearly 100 participants from 25 different countries in 2015.The event in April this year will thus be the Fourth Global Glycerine Conference.
The purpose of the Conference is to throw light on the future development of the global glycerine market. The format of the conference will be the same as was successfully used previously. Over a period of one-and-a-half days, we will analyze and forecast important supply and demand parameters related to glycerine, using the input of the most qualified speakers we have been able to obtain. At the end of the conference, under the guidance of the coordinators from HBI, the conference will be equipped with a supply/ demand balance for glycerine going forward into the next several years.
