Created in 1986, HBI is a brokerage and agency company specialized in oleochemicals and food products. With offices in France, India, the UK and the US, we are the world's leading brokers of oleochemicals. As exclusive agents, we represent a number of blue chip companies such as Unilever and Akzo Nobel. In keeping with our philosophy of offering our clients the most comprehensive service possible, HBI has launched the world's first e-commerce site exclusively for the oleochemical industry. HBI is an ISO 9002 certified company since 1995.

In September 2000 was launched Oleoline.com, our B2B site specialised in the publication of market reports on oleochemicals, in trading oleochemicals on its marketplace and holding normal and reverse auctions on behalf of its Members. Oleoline.com is designed as a club reserved to oleochemicals spealists and is the meeting point of the major actors of the global market.

In October 2001, Oleoline published its Weekly Glycerine Market Report which is a recognised update of contract and spot prices of refined glycerine in Europe, the USA and South-East Asia with related comments for each market. Our weekly report is subscribed by most of the world oleochemical industry and is considered as a reference in the market.

In 2003, Oleoline started to set up some partnerships with blue-chip partners. Our first partner is Vopak, the leading storage company with a global network. We continue with Mediacovrac which is also involved in the storage of bulk commodities and is located in the South of France. Both Vopak and Mediacovrac will enable you to cover most of the European markets by storing your goods in their respective various tanks.

In August 2003, Oleoline launched the first available two-weekly biodiesel market report. This report aims at giving general information on the raw materials and by product involved in the biodiesel process as well as the profitability of the biodiesel operation in Europe.

In 2004, Dekker Transport joined Oleoline's Partners' group by offering a reliable service for the transport of oleochemicals. The company is located in both the Netherland and Belgium. Dekker partnership to Oleoline site was followed by Setcargo which is a shipping and forwarding company.

Oleoline is proud to announce the 20th anniversary of HBI, Oleoline’s mother company. A wonderful weekend was had by all in the beautiful surroundings of Chateau de Chantilly where we were treated to a tour of the magnificent museum and a ride around the manicured grounds in a mini train before we were royally trumpeted towards the majestic dining hall to enjoy the delicacies of French cuisine! We were delighted to welcome our Indian, Chinese and American offices to celebrate with us and to be joined by all of our accounting and legal partners.
